Yall my BYC is acting so flaky...so forgive me if this posted and I cant find it.
Since Mango, Milli and Vanilli have been rehomed, lil Joey is doing this really weird low honk noise. He does it almost constantly. He's acting normal otherwise. They are all satin silkies so I wasn't sure if this is a growing cockrel takin on his new role of the flock or what?

To me it sounds like he is. How old is Joey? When my boys started crowing it was screechy, not honky. But neighbours do have a cockerel that crows honky, I do hear him every day like he was mine, too

That would be crazy beautiful! I’ve not seen this coloring on a satin but someone should totally do it. I may contact the breeder about a porcelain girl in the future! Her older hen won Reserve Feather Leg! She’s just a beauty! I’m so happy I waited so I could get a pullet from a local breeder. I like supporting local breeders and she gave us a 4-H discount too!

Yes! For the colors, I think I have a paint, partridge, two blue cream and a grey. They are so cute!

You mean putting a heat lamp outdoors? I wouldnt recommend that. Fire hazard.

No i wouldnt put it outside. I just dont know if tjey would survive in the very cold Wisconsin weather.
