Any silkie thread drags me in...so here's some of my breeding/showing flock of Silkies and some of their chicks.

When it comes to Silkies, even though I absolutely adore them (hence why I keep and breed them) there is still little things about them that can grind my gears :barnie

I'm not getting further into it but I always go with the saying that parents used to say..."Dont say you don't like something if you've never tried it".

Some breeds work for different people and their circumstances and I fully respect that. Personally, I think any chicken that's a healthy and happy one is a good one no matter what it looks like.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of my fluffy chickens, they're still perfect to me and I'd never change them for anything else!

(Except a chicken nugget...:drool)

Sounds a little creepy. I hope my roos defend my flock (from predators, not me).
I'm always watching him, cuz he'll attack when you're not looking.
Forgot to mention his name is Mr. Evil.
He even challenges my mom on the other side of the fence.

Your silkies are so cute and fluffy! Aren't you the one who made the "Bathing Silkies: How To Keep Them Bright & Fluffy" Article? This is the one I mean:
