That second photo looks like she's posing!!dShe is a real doll. She will fly up to my arm for cuddles. I honestly do not think color has anything to do with it. She was an only chick for 2 days and I carried her around in my hand so she wouldn’t peep all the time until I could get her some buddies. The white silkie in the photos is her bestie.

Your little cochin girl is adorable. I now find myself the owner of 6 suspected Blue cochins. My sawdust guy gave them to me and told me months ago when I agreed to take them that they were Blue Marans. When they showed up I highly suspected cochins and not Marans and that evening when they laid their first eggs for me they confirmed the were definitely not Marans. It's ok though, I did eventually want to add cochins to my flock in a few years, just the bantam version. These new girls are Large fowl but they will allow me to see if they are a breed I want to carry on with in the future.She is a real doll. She will fly up to my arm for cuddles. Not only was that blue frizzle a meanie, but Elsa, her splash sister is too. I still love her, so her grumpy self is staying. A future one will be white, red, or buff. I'm leaning towards a frizzle, but i wonder if the weather is harder on them.

I like barred
I love Elsa's splash color so much. But i want a color that doesn't seem to have any meanness bred in. I'm only getting one more cochin in order for her to have a friend of a feather. I have a limit of 8 future chickens, so i need to plan carefully. I could get her a silkie friend too, they are similarly sized. I just need to make sure they can handle the heat. My heart will break if the weather kills any of my pets.
my silkies are okay in hot weather but it only gets to 86F here in summer
