Thanks! I was asking forums about what colour she was and everyone keeps saying mille. I would never have guessed as it was outside the realm of possibility in my mind! I'm excited to see how she colours up as she gets older, and she will definitely be used in my project, will give me quite the head start lol. I suspect that the little Pekin/Silkie maybe a split too in that case, since they came from the same place.Oh they are beautiful!
That is so exciting that one might be a mille! She definitely looks like she is mottled to me. I've got one I think is split to mottled that has a few white feathers in his crest and a white beard feather as well as some white tipped beard feathers that reminds me a bit of your girl other than I doubt yours is split with more coming through like that one the wings and neck. That would be so neat if you were able to start a mille project with her!![]()
As promised heres a short clip of Joey doing his "honk" for lack of a better way of putting it...sounds little whiny. Definitely not his crow cuz I've seen and heard him do this.
He does it a lot more and constantly when he is out in the run...and has a little elevated pitch to it when I walk away.
So what do yall think?

I knowSome of those "weird" noises were me...how I talk to em lol!
I just capture them and force chicken kisses on them.. they come around like Stockholm syndrome.Boys r so easy to work with at this age...girls seem never easy!
Any tips for getting pullets to luv ya too!?
They will eat out of my hand and come as a flock. Buy I wait and wait and try to do same with them as I do boys and it's just not any easier.
Lolol that's me! My brain hasn't been "normal" the past 12 years now with chronic health problems...so for some dumb reason that's the "sound" I came up with when I call them or talk to then. Weird I know. My son-in-law said one sound I do sounds like a dove so heck if I know!
Hey it works...they also come to "come on babies!"
