Love!! Hey i see your second one has brown in the crest.. so did Pebbles.. and those brown feathers took FOREVER to grow in, making her look like she had wild hair instead of a poof.. so don't give up on it prematurely!!So based on the head fluff test…the first two are a boy and a girlThree more have hatched and the other two seem to have internally popped and are moving around

Ok!! Good to know!Love!! Hey i see your second one has brown in the crest.. so did Pebbles.. and those brown feathers took FOREVER to grow in, making her look like she had wild hair instead of a poof.. so don't give up on it prematurely!!
They’re all so pretty!Update photos of my two “grow outs”
Lilikoi, the black, is now 16 weeks old. She is super friendly and follows me around.
Weighs 1.6 pounds and has a large vaulted skull. Because of this she recently had a little trim around her eyes.
14 week old Niko, the paint, is little shy but much friendlier than she was when she was a chick. Weighs 1.4 lbs and is non vaulted.
Both have still a bit of teenage gangliness going on but hopefully they’ll fill out more with time.View attachment 3016469View attachment 3016470View attachment 3016471View attachment 3016472View attachment 3016474View attachment 3016475View attachment 3016476View attachment 3016477
Hey yall...please accept my apologies for not responding for a few days.
It broke my heart but i had to let that little one go. It was really hard to show yall how the little one was just through video and pics and I was showing yall the best!
So as to document this for myself and anyone else that may go throughsomethinglike this with a lil...
I believe the fact that the tendon kept going out of place even while attempting to splint/brace it in place took a dramatic toll on the lil one. It was losing weight and strength and it was shaking really bad and crying constantly in pain and had stopped pooping. There was a definite change in water intake and food. Even with me holding it for hours it was just shaking in the heating pad. And the night before it was calm and fine in that same position and place with me. The swelling was really bad and just to attempt to touch the leg it would cry and shake pitifully.
Even though I put the antibiotic ointment on the exposed bone when wrapping the leg I believe it just had endured too much to keep torturing to try and fix. Especially since the only vet in a big town willing to even look said it was too small to try and fix...not to even mention the exposed bone.
If I had it to do over again and knew it was slipped tendon and not splay leg I definitely would not have attempted to continue to splint/brace the tendon in place as I believe this is what possibly caused the exposed bone...but then again the things I've researched said exposed bone was potentially a result of the slipped tendon.
The little one was definitely a fighter but the pain yall couldn’t see was breaking my heart.
Again I am so very sorry how all this went and how long it took me to big girl up and respond to yall...it hurts too badly to talk bout. I didn't even discuss with my family it was that bad.
I sincerely thank yall so much for understanding and being super helpful!
