Also, can anyone tell me, will all these babies be black? (4) and I have one grey. Possibly lavender? Pic from last weekend.

I suspect they are full sisters too.. 3 eggs from TD hatched and 3 from the bantam BO hen.
TY, I'm so hoping to get some satins (eventually) that look like them. The 4 darker ones could be either black or dark blue (which can look black sometimes). The light colored one getting some darker feathers in could be a lighter downed blue or a dark splash. That ones feathers are coming in too dark for lavender I believe. Light blues when bred to be lighter can look similar to lavenders though, blues and splash can vary in shade quite a bit.
Those feathers really do have such a beautiful pattern close up, they are both such pretty girls!![]()
Oh My Goodness! Such a colorful guy! So I'm not the only one doing such crazy things, eh... feel like I fit right in now.My silkie/ameraucana rooster, Leven. He's so paranoid in a good way. He's perfectly calm if I pick him up.

His right foot that lead to his name since he has Eleven toes. 6 on this foot. It was easier to see when he was a chick that all three toes on the back are fully boned to the foot.

Minnie!Good morning my frens! Going back over several pages this morning I saw my post of Fluff's two younger brothers and it hit me. Sundance and Cassidy! So, all 5 silkie crosses out of that brood have names now.. So much fun!
Haven't begun to think of names for the 5 splashes.. Eeny Meenie Miney and Mo come to mind.. that leaves one.......................![]()
Beautiful babies! Satins & Silkies!Years ago I had a sweet little Silkie that I got from a rescue. Her name was Phoebe and she was missing toes from frostbite…or so I was told.
That was 20 years ago and I’m happy to say that we have added 11 Silkie babies to our chicken home.
Most of them are satin Silkies but two are silk.
I didn’t get pics of everyone but here are most of them. I have to work on names.
