I lost my beautiful buff hen Penny Tuesday to either a hawk or owl attack. It all happened so fast I can't even believe she's gone. She will be missed.

Was at a poultry show this weekend! Had to share the Best of Breed, she is a buff beauty! She wouldn't look at me though and the black girl just had the most impressive crest!

Oh I am so sorry!!! She was a precious doll! Hawks have been really bad here all summer and definitely now that cold has set in!

Sooo, once again I'm recording images of growth and feather type and pattern as my F1 and F2's grow.
The oldest first.. Here are 4 from the first batch.. Discount my photo bombing kids (blue and black The moorehead is the first male I've gotten as such, all the other mooreheads were female.

Colors in the second batch are totally different, in spite of being from the same roo and hens

Don't mind Little Boy Blue, he's got no horn.
