During day and night or just at night lock em in?
I've been tucking em in the coop at night yhen letting em out each morning at sun up.

Oh and whats too long for them to go without water? I don't put water inside the coop area cu of the deep bedding.
They've been going to bed around 4:30 and get out around 6-6:30 and the adults are always fine n dandy but the babies all go straight for water.
Hmm.. i dont know about the water.. i add a smaller waterer in the coop if i have them locked in. Its going to bitterly cold for 24 hrs here. Do you know how long the expected winds and temp drop is supposed to last in your area?

I think they are still changing it day by day (worse of course) so I'm not sure how long the wind gusts up to 50mph are supposed to last. I've only got ½ the run wrapped since we typically are such a mild area.

Mine don’t go in until a little later and then I let out around 8:30am. Sometimes it is later though and no one has had issues

Yes, this is what i meant. Lock them in for the whole day, with some food and water in there. Can you put the container on a cement paver or plywood so its level?
I meant at night yeah...
During the day I think the big babies will be fine. They will have option to go in the coop or not...back in November we had teens and they did well.
Worst case scenario can bring the littlest ones in the garage...and Bambi cause she gets picked on so badly.
