Dang, that is a great candling light! Too bad on the eggs, it happens but it's always a bummer. These two I think were infertile as they never started to develop. The small one is a silkie and the larger from my Jumbo Cornish Cross girls.

If I can only get a hatch rate of 25% on the Cornish Cross X White Giant It's progress that I was told I couldn't do.Dang, that is a great candling light! Too bad on the eggs, it happens but it's always a bummer.
Wow, I know they have low fertility rates, but it's always surprising to hear it still. Are you working on a larger White Giant style dual purpose breed? If I can only get a hatch rate of 25% on the Cornish Cross X White Giant It's progress that I was told I couldn't do.
Yes. Bigger breasts without leg or heart problems and the ability to breed naturally.Wow, I know they have low fertility rates, but it's always surprising to hear it still. Are you working on a larger White Giant style dual purpose breed?
Wow, we had one on accident and she started having leg troubles about 19 / 20 weeks so we processed her. Having them over a year is amazing!I have 6 full grown Cornish Cross hens out of a 25 batch of Str chicks. Hens were a year old Oct 31 of 2023. They were not supposed to live this long. They as friendly as silikies have a reputation for. They can't get close enough under foot for attention.
