Silky hatch-along and OdoBan on eggs experiment

I had thoughts about Muscovy ducks until I got side tracked with silkies. I think silkies have won out. I think in May or June I need to fill an incubator full of just silkie eggs and let nature take its course.

I can understand silkies are cute ! I hope I can catch the chicks leaving the tree. Get the camera ready.

If I get Muscovy ducks I'll have a mountain of fall leaves saved up to put under their nests. I would want a very large run of about 60x60 with a wire over the top roof + a duck house for them. I think if it had a area the hat the top up to 15' high with nesting area in that part it might work. I need to read up and see just how breeders to it now.

Oh yes and we set 41 eggs yesterday in our new Incubator. The gentleman did get back in touch with us. His Rooster will be coming over

I never heard of them so I look them up and then find out there are silkie doves. They can't fly so they're for pets. Next, they'll come up with a silkie dog. Oh, wait, maybe they did!
