I can absolutely get better pics tomorrow, but I’ve got 4 SLWs from a straight run and based on patterning being messy on three I’m thinking maybe 3 are boys? 🤔 They’re 8 and a half weeks old! I know the combs aren’t totally right on all either: they were from TSC!

Hard to see the lacing on the shoulders. If it's clean lacing and not dark than they are pullets. By combs to me they all look like pullets.
Interesting! I had read something about messy vs clean so that’s what my guessing was on. I’ll take much better pics tomorrow when it’s lighter to show off their sides and chest super well. 🥰 That would be WILD if I got mostly or all pullets from a straight run.

So far they all appear to be pullets. Their lacing is a messy because they are hatchery quality, but they don't look like cockerels.
Thanks so much! 🥰 They’re all so silly, I am really hoping to not have 3/4 cockerels haha! I’ll definitely take better pics tomorrow.

We’re not breeding/looking for “high quality” of anything, just sweet birds, but certainly it made it tougher looking between pics of sexed SLWs to try to guess before making this. 😂 Our Wyandottes and Orps and EEs are pretty social and active so really hoping we can keep as many as possible. These were the only straight runs of them so I have been getting nervous luck would not be in my favor. 😮‍💨

I TRIED to get better pics. Keyword being tried. They really don’t like to sit still. 😂

They all look like pullets.
Oh my! That's so awesome to hear! I knew they combed up pretty early typically, but the splotchy patterning on #2 had me sweating. 🤭 So they're just a bunch of really mischievous girls. Looking now I'm noticing they've all got lacing on their tails too. I think I hit the jackpot if it's 4/4 pullets in a straight run. (May make up for our huge cockerel-heavy first batch of chickens 🤣) Thanks so much!

Not sure if this one is suspicious or not - still a little wary on this one, but the others seem very clearly pullets. The lacing is so pretty though! Leaning very heavy pullet still on this one but the tail feathers seemed more “lifted” than any of the others so I was pondering.

I'm very, very new to chickens. But these look like little ladies to me as well. They're beautiful!

I got a straight run of 4 bantams, also from TSC, over the weekend. Obviously they're way too young for gender guesses, but I hope I get lucky as well!
