Silver laced wyandottes

I have two silver laced wyandotte chickens and one has been laying for about two weeks and the other just started. They are laying really small eggs. I was just wondering how long will there eggs be small? Thanks Travis.

SLWs lay "average" sized eggs during their prime laying period, 55 - 60 grams or about 2 ounces.

Pullets will lay much smaller eggs, and, as hens get older, they will lay increasingly larger eggs.

My SLW just started laying last week and even though her first egg was medium in size the rest have been quite small. The first was actually a double yolker!!
