Missing Feathers under wattle

I have three Auracanas 7 months old, laying nice strong eggs. They have small bald areas under their wattles, but the other girls (Black Giant and Silver-Laced Wyandotte) don’t. There are signs of new feathers coming in. No molting anywhere else, they are fully feathered and fluffy. Any ideas? Should I be worried?


Have just seen s number of replies to earlier questions about this, learned a lot, will keep an eye on who does NOT have feathers missing!

Once it stops raining I’ll look, but two of the birds are fine. Thanks !

Bearded birds are often the target of overzealous 'grooming'.
They will let other birds pluck the beard feathers off.
Have seen this happen in my flock, almost don't recognize the birds once those beards grow back.
