I read a post earlier about Impeyan pheasant cold tolerance, and it got me thinking...

I have had a pair of Silver Pheasants for a month or two now, and its starting to cool down for the year.

As of now, I dont have any heat source for them, and am wondering if it will be needed for a NEBRASKA winter.

Any help would be appreciated!

No most pheasants can tolerate the cold as long as they have climatized.Meaning you don't want to ship birds in from texas to Nebraska in Nov.They will sureley not do good. You need to keep the drafts off from them and they will be fine.I poly all the way around my pens and the top is always covered year round. The firebacks and peacock pheasants need heat in the winter months.
