All the research I have done says that sebrights rarely go broody but I think my Miss Priss has done just that. First off, she hasn't given me any eggs in a few weeks. (She is a year old and used to lay a sweet little brown egg every day.). Second--she is a flyer and a part of the run they have is shared with my horse so there is no top, so she goes in and out at will. Finally, she has been on the lam for almost a week. She will be gone for a day or two and then briefly show up to eat, all growly and poofy and angry--and then she is gone again. I live out in the country and am surrounded by tall grass fields and I can't find her. I have tried waiting her out to follow her when she does come home but she seems to know and waits me out. It's supposed to rain heavily the next couple of days and I wish I could find her and bring her in. I have a feeling she is setting on a a big bunch of eggs and planning to bring me home a dozen little roos---if they survive. They will be cute as daddy is a white silkie...but the most important thing is that she comes home and stays. I am also scared to death she is in the big field next to the run, which doesn't belong to me and gets bush hogged yearly.
