Site update issues

I am still not getting email notifications of threads I have subscribed to. I can find ones that I have posted to, but if I am just reading them, I'm not sure how to find where they are and where I left off reading (esp. when I am learning and reading from the beginning of a 1000 or 5000 page thread). This thread hasn't been updated for 3 days so it makes one assume that issues are fixed but I don't see it fixed for me. I work at school and it started this week so I'm a little slow to get to email and to resolve issues with non-school related problems because I have enough things to accomplish with beginning of school stuff already.

Is this "lack of notifications by email" thing resolved for certain people? Do I have to notify by posting on this thread that I still have no new e-mails? If so, here it is.

I've also stopped getting email notifiers, along with some other minor problems. Please post here if you're having problems with as much detail as possible. I've given @Nifty-Chicken a head's up, so he can let the techie staff know.

My avatar pic keeps converting back to the blank grey chicken pic...third or fourth time I have had to re-upload my personal choice(?)
System still sluggish when coming on-site or switching pages...

I keep getting "You have - New Message(s)... and there are NO new messages... but it will send me the same notice three or four times, within 5 to 10 minutes, back to back.
Is anyone else having this issue?

especially this stuff:

1) Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
2) Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again?
3) Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Google Chrome or Firefox)?

2) Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again? Daily
3) Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Google Chrome or Firefox)? Google Chrome (updated automatically)

NEW PROBLEM: I don't know if the techies are doing something right now on the website, but pics will not load using the pic icon where you get the popup, drop in the URL....when you hit Submit all you get on your post is the little blue pic/icon thingie....no pic! Been going on for the past 20 minutes or so.

I've seen alot of pics that only show and icon also.......can right click and open in new tab to see it tho.

I was able to load pics but they don't show up. No errors but have to click on them to open.

Thanks again to those that are supplying as much detail as possible (including errors, steps taken, browser versions, attempts with another browser, etc.)

The tech team is using this information to try and track down the specific issues and fix them!
