I like walking sticks. There are some very beautiful and intricately carved ones out there. A very fine craft.

I feel ya mrbigschickens. I am in SW Al. and it is very cold and I live in a old drafty farmhouse. I have the heat on and layers of clothes drinking coffee and trying to keep warm.
What kind of chicken is that white one on your shoulder?![]()
Quote: Some days 70* is cold here too.lol
I do love old farmhouses but they are all so drafty! darn.
I am not sure the way the sun is shining on it, very pretty bird. Kind of looks like a Chantecler pullet.I love Easter Eggers also, I have some and they are very pretty and sweet. But I am very partial to white chickens. lol
Quote: I have see some beautiful ones in the stores for sale. Mine is a blue and white flowered one that folds up to go in my purse to get it out of the way if not needed.
Is that how you get the handle? By growing saplings with the rootball? My DH needs a cane and he loves the wood walking sticks but he will not buy one for himself. Maybe I could make him one? lol
I agree! I love looking at them when we go shopping and see them.I like walking sticks. There are some very beautiful and intricately carved ones out there. A very fine craft.
Someone has to pay to keep it going so they use it every chance they get.Thank you everyone for the good wishesDeb- That's why I drug myself up the steps and into the house and then crawled down the front steps and hopped into the car instead of calling the rescue squad. Unlike you, I was at least able to have my hubby there to drive me. You really made me think. I need to check into if we can say no to a lifeflight. Just like you, we are so rural that the lifeflight is used maybe even more than it needs to be.
