Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Nice thread. For the record, the worst part of the day is making my coffee because it isn't done yet

We do not have them here.
We do have some collectors and breeders locally, so a trip to the other side of the county is not bad.
So, here is question for you egg people.
I have to quarantine chickens and chicks from another person, would eggs bring anything in?
I trust the hatcheries to have healthy stock..or they would not be in business long.
or, I might just be holding on to a delusion, I don't know.
We have been relatively non drama when it comes to our girls, so I do not know what could go wrong.

I will start golfballing them at the end of February then,
That will be around an April hatch... if the old ladies are up to it.
I have had someone offer to butcher them for me, so I could just start over
but...
The girls are my friends.

I'll be taking care of geriatric chickens thirty years from now won't I?

I'll be so old.
I need to re think EVERYTHING!!!!

Who am I kidding?
I go through this every year.

Another coop will do it.
The geriatric chicken coop.
I can see it.

3, I would personally see the eggs as less of a risk than hatchery stock, not to mention privately hatched chicks. But that's just me.

Yes, look into it. There are diseases that will pass through the eggs and there are others that do not. It is safer to hatch eggs than to get chicks from anywhere.
