Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Horses are OK with the pigs now but the pigs are trying to dig out of the stall! I wedged the huge door with a six by six and some logs - I can't find any cement blocks... there are five kids here playing in the sun (finally) and I am daring to unplug all the heated water troughs/buckets. Cross your fingers.

So now that I have done this for 20 months I have decided that I love my chickens, bunny, cats, dogs, and horses but I kind of HATE pigs...

In the old days, you put a nose ring on the pig's snout to keep it from digging it's way out, among other things.

Hi everyone
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, it's finally quit snowing so we've been gettin' busy.
Thanks for the trailer idea, that just might work! As for self selling your place in our area, unless you live closer to town it just isn't possible. All the buyers for land like ours (are only viable target market are folks looking for hunting land with buildings) are mostly from Chicago, Minneapolis, etc. and they all check properties out on Realtor.com. Not much chance of selling to anyone local tho we have already did our best to start getting the word out. We've found a good realtor

who's motivated to put the work in. We don't know if we will even be able to sell with the economy they way it is. If nothing else, this has really got the DH motivated to finally clear out all the junk! The trips to the dump have already begun.

:thumbsup. Trips to the dump are good ---as long as nothing comes back home with you.. My dad is a junker and he goes to the salvage yard to shop. I will admit that MST of what he brings home he fixes and either trades or sells.

Not just in the old days. I've bought an awful lot of "hog rings" to use when putting rabbit cages together.

My family used them all the time growing up.
I married a man who uses them all the time too.
We have never had hogs. The idea of putting them through a pigs nose never occurred to me.
I thought it was a different ring they put in a hog.

My reality just shifted.
I will never use those things again without feeling sorry for pigs.
