I actually have in mind a kind of chicken nest made of Terracotta. practical for my environment temperature wise but maybe not husbandry wise.

Her idiot keeper forgot to close up the coop one night and something went in there and ate her and another hen (one of my two OEs).
Needless to say, I forgotten to close up the coop since then!

@tjo804. You are welcome, Deb showed me a video and now my son is gonna try and build me a bin. Supposedly they will climb a ramp and fall into a tray for easy harvesting.... (Ok, I might have over simplified it a little)
