Sorry to hear about your Grandma I think it is a generational thing or a pride thing either they dont or wont bother you or the dont or wont stop! My mom was that way. it was a pride thing for her she was ALWAYS independent and do it herself Gal. Then Parkinson s. She really never learned to ask for help and saw herself weak for doing so.

Good Luck with your Gma I hope she feels better soon.

Also sorry to hear about the coffee situation I would rather eat dirt than be out of coffee.

Well, I won't put you in timeout this time.
I understand taking care of those who don't tell us when they need it. DH is like that, but I'm getting it trained out of him and he does much better now. Tip: I told him that it bothers me more when he lets whatever get out of hand before he tells me; I can usually take care of whatever it is way more easily from the beginning.
I sure do hope that Grandma feels better soon!!!

Nope, not a generational thing. DH and DD are like that too. I've been like that, but I can't handle it physically.

so do I .... Her birthday is just a couple of weeks away she will be 99....

born in 1916... Her oldest brother was serving in WWI when she was born...

Impressive!!!

My g-g-daddy was 97 when he passed. The stories he could tell...

Grandma is full of stories and we all listen... I want to write them up eventually.. She was one of nine and the youngest.

Her momma started having babies at about fourteen or fifteen. There were two that were more than a year apart... So my guess is she would have had eleven.... Oh and Great Grandma married a widower that was about twelve years older than she was... He already had two children that were nine and ten. Story is she would play dolls with the girl.
