Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Hey, we're taking this thing one day at a time - take nothing for granted. She has planned a 'renewal of vows' ceremony with immediate family only. My question is, "If there is an opportunity to renew vows, does the possibility of saying 'nay' exist?"
After 50 years I am sure she knows how to 'Bop" you... and you probably know how to duck.
That is why you've lasted so long.

My husband and I are still around together because when I get mad, he makes me laugh. ...and he rarely ever gets mad, so I am in luck.

I have only seen her REALLY mad 3 times - it's a scary sight. When one of us an irrational idiot the other just tries to remain sane, and there are some things that can never be said. She stops being angry quickly. I on the other hand am a grudge bearer.

Me too.
I do not forget. and as soon as something starts going down the same road, I throw those grudges up as road blocks. "Do you remember when you did such and such? I do. and It isn't going to happen again." Humph

Then he says something hilarious and I laugh until I cough so hard I am incapacitated.
I can forgive it, but I do not forget it.

Wow. new years eve. I start all the dieting, juicing, exercising and cleaning tomorrow.
So today I have to eat all those goodies laying around.

Those homemade caramels in the coffee are something worth doing.

Good Morning everyone it is a beautiful New Years Eve and I am enjoying my second cup of coffee with my darling wife and Allison our 8 year old granddaughter. Allison is the owner of the chickens. I am the caretaker.

Training dogs and changing bedding today - possible foot of snow for Thurs/Fri. Getting the outside stuff done today and tomorrow.

Early Happy New Year!!! Everyone! It's now 1 pm in our neck of the woods and tho it's still below o F it's almost 30o in the greenhouse so I was able to let the chooks out for a couple hours. Not too long. The sun hangs so low now it only clears the tree tops to the south from 11 till around 2 pm. At least they get to stretch their legs and get a little Sun today because tomorrow is going to be another lock down day with our New Years eve supposed to get near -30 and no Sun tomorrow. Supposedly getting a reprieve from the record cold at the end of the week then it's supposed to get worse! :th
The new s is reporting that there is a real shortage of propane now which is the main heating fuel for just about everyone up here . It's so bad that those who aren't regular company customers, like those with vacation cabins, are being turned down for fills. Worse for some folks, the price is skyrocketing. ThAnk God we signed a contract last fall for a locked in price but if this doesn't break soon we are going to burn thru our contracted gallons long before spring thaw. It will a crunch, but if that happens we will be ok. There are a lot of folks, especially older like us, who may not have locked in a contract and could soon be in real trouble. Maybe it's time I grab hubby and go check on a few folks.
