glad to hear others are up and just as groggy this am! Lol have a question to get minds functioning this morning.. I have 2 Muscovy ducklings who mama duck thought she needed to help out of the shell both have yolk sacs and what as a first timer I can only describe as an umbilical hernia? I've read several threads and a few are mentioning a paste? Can someone tell me how to make this or what its called so as to purchase it!?

Hehehe! I can imagine about gas stations... I used to live in Laguna Niguel and Huntington Beach. Know all about the lack of sense god gave tomatoes out there!!! From what I've read, leave 'em be. If they're stuck on them for more than a couple of days then you'll need to intervene. A hernia will be noticeable and requires either surgery or at the very least a small bandaid with neosporin on it to help fight infection. If left untreated, the innards fall out and the poor ling won't do so well. Any pictures you can share?

I use iodine, keep them separate so they dont pick each others and tear it and open it up. Feed electrolytes and try some scrambled egg yolk if they will eat itty bits of it! And of course read that info! Good luck! Pics ALWAYS help us to help you!
