Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Ah, I had a lovely 16 ounces of coffee today that nearly killed me, later.

The café in the local bookstore has this awesome coffee called "Winter Wonderland" and it is a nice, rich black coffee with this minty hint to it.

I love it, but it did not love me back.

Good morning! -lovely one on tap for North Texas. -coffee in hand, warm jacket on, and time to watch a sunrise whilst the chickens come out to scratch in the lawn..... -a blessed weekend to all!

Last weekend, the coffee maker broke and we've been making due with a French press. Today I scored one of these at Savers (thrift store) for $15.http://www.kitchenaid.com/shop/coun...e-products-3/-[KCM1402ACS]-402097/KCM1402ACS/

What luck! It seems hardly used.
Awesome! Some day I'm going to get one!

Hi everyone!

I didn't run away, just been really busy. We finally had a couple days that the highs got above zero so we got some work done outside and a trip or two to town. Even one to a bigger town to pick up my new lazy boy recliner

. Got the girls all prepped this morning complete with a new flock block before the temps starting diving again this afternoon. Now the wind has picked up, the snow is drifting the driveway in and it's back below zero so here I am in my new recliner

probably for the next several days. they are saying we are going to get hit with the coldest temps of the season yet and actual temps will probably be reaching -35 with -50 windchills by Monday morning . I am just so grateful the chooks are warm and we have a full tank of propane. Some around here are not so fortunate. Some of the small distributors can't get any fuel and those that can the price per gallon has almost tripled so they either don't have the money to pay upfront for their loads or the customers don't have the money to buy it. It's just sad. Thank the Lord hubby locked us into a contract last fall

Oh, and I have a HUGE stockpile of coffee!

Back to drooling over my chickie catalogs now, later.
