I think that is me to a 'T'
Totally unpredictable, just like it is for Alaskan I'm sure. One year we can work the ground in April, another we still have snow on the ground in May. The one thing that has never changed as long as I have kept garden records (20+ yrs.) our final hard freeze is always the last week of May or the first week of June depending exactly when the full moon falls. Walmart up here always gets their veggie and flower plants in around 2nd week of May and everyone that knows buys quick because they wind up losing most of it to a hard frost. 4 or 5 years ago we actually had a beautiful March and April where it was so warm the ground thawed, the trees woke up early and the fools were planting in their gardens at the end of April. Yep, snow, cold and miserable the entire month of May. The apple crops were lost (buds froze) and everyone's flowers died. I kept everything I could in the greenhouse and didn't lose anything but time.Chicki when does your spring usually arrive? I know it can't be the same as ours down here!
