Good Morning! Partly sunny. 45 now high of 56. Today I go to the dentist for a broken tooth. Complete with a chipmunk cheek. Painting new walls today.
BTW,

You're going to the dentist and painting walls......on the same day?????? Wow!!! I need some of whatever you're on. lol It's all I can do to handle the day-to-day and one unusual event.

I read that; I'm running out to put aluminum foil on the tops of my nesting boxes right now!!! I hope all six hens don't go broody at the same time........

I think my chicks played a April Fools joke on me today~I couldn't see them in their pen because they were all hiding behind a branch I placed. It really look like they were gone and I was fooled~love my chicks & hens~needed more coffee after that~

I know how you feel. I went out to make sure all my "big chicks" were back in the juvenile pen for the night after free ranging with the main flock (of 8 lol and there's over a dozen "big chicks"), anyway, I couldn't find them....... It turned out that they were all huddled up in the corner and I had had no idea that was how they slept. I knew everyone was in there every night b/c they couldn't get out, so I never counted before letting them out. lol

I've been doing some research to improve my Chicken keeping skills
I found that there seems to be a controversy about weather or not to rinse a raw chicken.

Well I tried to rinse a raw chicken today and he did not like it much!

No worries though his attitude Greatly improved with a good Blow out with the hair dryer.
So I guess IMO when rinsing Raw Chickens make sure you have a blow dryer handy.

I got to thinking about the RAW connection when I connected in my brain that I was soaking him in my small canning pot.

I'll blame that on tooo much coffee just grabbed what I knew would hold him.
