On the broody front...... Today the weather has warmed up, and the chicks are getting a bit two big/too many for the bathtub..... So I thought tossing the majority out with the broody would be a good idea.

Well....she is perfectly happy for her four chicks to suddenly turn into 13 chicks, no problems there.

HOWEVER, she said, the "funny color chicks" are clearly not hers, she will peck them until they disappear, thank you very much.

So..... at least with this broody, if I had wanted her to brood all of these chicks, she would have had to have had one of each breed under her from the get go.

Might make it a bit tricky for you..since your chicks are going to be all sorts of colors..... dunno


On a different front:

I am NOT A SOCIAL PEOPLE PERSON!

Today, the second time in two days "well, you have all of those animals and chicks, all of these people and little kids are gonna come over and tour your place"

And, of course they all want free eggs to take home with them.....

And I have a big eight dozen sale of eggs I need for wednesday.

I am NOT a good and Christian hospitable person.... Sad really.

Well, considering what I have under her, most should be black with white, or dark blue, so hopefully not too many troubles? I'll be worried about the blue chick though, since she had a blue egg in her nest, and DESTROYED it. We'll see, lol.
