Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Oh and for what its worth the Coffee Toddy maker which is simply a cold brewer makes coffee concentrate. You can use it any way you want. I used to put the appropriate amount in a cup and pour in nuked water for hot coffee in the morning.

Or you could take it further and make it strong like espresso.... there are bunches of recipes on the internet.

Espresso!!!!

Seriously, since it looks like my Doc is going to be piling on more drugs for my poor tummy to deal with, this just might be the perfect ticket!!!
Chicki I am sorry for your tummy.

No big deal yet. Won't know the whole deal until after the MRI on Tuesday. I am going to have to lay still in the thing for over an hour and I won't even be able to play with my Kindle!!! Guess I better skip the espresso!

Sorry for your tummy. Liquid Maalox used to work pretty well for me, especially if I took a swig before I ate anything.

I have some and use it with the rest. Thank you. I am hoping by the end of the year that my Dr. will decrease my meds and then hopefully my stomach will get well....

I used to mainline brewed coffee all day long. At work I would probably drink five cups... First percolated then I discovered drip brewing. Then i discovered Coffee Toddy making (btw if you can do it its probably the best of all). Broke my toddy brewer then Espresso got popular and I was hooked. I have my four shots in a sixteen ounce cup... no bigger no smaller... Then I use three sweet and lows... I cant taste sugar in coffee at all. Then top the whole thing to the brim with half and half. It comes out luke warm and very satisfying and it takes me a good three to four hours to drink. deb
I didn't even like drip coffee but my husband turned me on to espresso 18 years ago.My favorite is either a cafe mocha or French press at home. Mmmmm I take my French press at home (about 14 oz) with about 1/4 cup sugar (on the weekends, but honey during the week) and about 1/8 cup half&half.
Its not a hot toddy maker its a Toddy maker. What it is is a glass carafe to receive the coffee which is brewed cold in a container with a thick filter in the bottom. You put the filter in and a cork on the bottom Then fill it with a POUND of coffee then pour in pure water up to the line. You leave it sit for over night or several hours. You dispense it into the carafe by removing the stopper. it takes a very long time to strain through the filter. When you are done you have a coffee concentrate. A splash of the concentrate and fill with hot water or what ever.... It can be portioned and frozen too. http://www.liquidplanet.com/Toddy-Cold-Brew-Coffee-Maker-p-741.html http://liquidplanet.wordpress.com/2011/04/27/what-is-toddy-coffee/ Oh yummmy.... all the flavor hardly any acid. One of those carafs makes 1.5 gallons of coffee. deb
Gotta try to buy dh one for...... Christmas??? ;)
The way we like it. :D
:D
Coffee by the GALLON!!! AND (drum roll plz) for those of you who have Prime, I just found it on Amazon! Thanks for the info Deb!!! :love
Oh, yeah!!!!!

view of my back yard from the out house. The dark horizon is the United States. The pale horizon is Mexico in Baja. Those mountains are about fifty miles away. My place is two miles from the Mexican boarder. See the gate... All solid gates hang like that here eventually... Best to have mesh or slats to let the wind through. Oh and the below pictures were taken in January or February. The man who built my house was an artist. I found all sorts of mosaics after I moved in. This is the back fence of my court yard. My land goes up to the nearest rocks beyond. Lizard and dragon fly made of Cobalt blue tile shards Aerial view deb
Can I come live with you? Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!

:frow Hello Everyone!!!! Welcome @perchie.girl and @ApiaryandAviary (and did I say Welcome @jknox1982 ?) !!! I made it back home finally!!! Way too many days away and too many $$$$. But at least no accidents!!!! Yay!!!:weee Tonight I go into work at 8 pm and get off tomorrow at 7 or 8 pm. Yay!!!! Not!!! :smack Extra $$$ good. Extra time not so much. A regular shift is very stressful there let alone a 24 hour shift. I'll be counting down the hours. The Toddy Maker looks interesting. Can you use the coffee concentrate in baking? I like my little French Press I got this year. Not concentrated but taste good! I use 2 spoons of sugar and some 1/2 n 1/2 to make it medium brown in 16 oz cups. I always thought a Hot Toddy was water, alcohol, honey, lemon and/or spices to cure or help a cold? That's what grandpa always did! Perchie the Sonoran Desert is very beautiful. At least from the view I had gotten. Pretty sure though I wouldn't want to live there. The climate is Waaaayyyyy too tough for me! One more question about the water nipples...Since it's pretty warm here this week I was very hesitant to remove the other water sources. (Good thing since I got stuck away for 4 days). But does anyone have any other suggestions to get them to use them? So far I have tried food - strawberries, spinach, and Ultra Kibble. But they still aren't so interested. The Kibble got the most response,b ut they still don't use it. It still has most of the water in it that I put in before I left and today they all went down to the pond for water. :idunno I can't remove the pond. ;) Well everyone have a great weekend!!!!
Great image! Thanks for the update!!!

@chickisoup My great grand dad used to drink buttermilk. Nowadays, I understand that kefir is the way to go.

I like Pepto, when I have tummy troubles.

I buy the cheapest antacid in tablet form from Vons. Their generic. Love the taste just plain old regular strength Kicks heart burn for me big time. they remind me of candy cigarettes....

Settles my stomach some too.

Oh and those who have somach and digestive issues with medications if you are allowed milk or yogurt. Get some with Acidophilus in it. Or take some Probiotics caps. Meds tend to mess with the natural flora and fauna in the digestive tract and eventually.

Another natural remedy is Papaya or papaya enzymes. I used to nibble on dried papaya its like candy still has the enzymes in it too.
