Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Deb, Mr. Jumper looks cute.

really a pix i snagged out of a million illustrations of jumping spiders. This one struck me with such a giggle I had to make him my windows background.

Jumping spiders dont make a net they Hunt down their prey. and If you have ever seen enhanced photos of their eye site they can actuall sit completely still and focus on different areas of the room by moving their retinas in the backs of their eyes.... Of which they have four.

Thank you. Me too.

I went to Urgent Care this afternoon and asked for a steroid shot to help with the pain and they gave me one with a shot for pain and swelling then the flu and a pneumonia shot.
I am drunk from the pain shot but still waiting for the meds to work. I have been there before and they told me they will give me shots till I can get in to see the RA Dr. YEA!!!

The TNF blockers have worked wonders for my wife. She takes Humira and Methotrexate and she has very little pain as long as long as she does not over do things. Our General Practitioner takes care of it. She went to a couple of Rheumatologists that weren't as good as he is.

I was mulching my garden and dug into the pine straw pile and it was LOADED with bull ants.
I was backing away when I saw the snake eggs. They were huge so I figured it was our resident coach whip. (Bigger than a quarter.) My intrepid husband dug a bit more and found a newly hatched coach whip. The ants pinch the daylights out of us, but the little (about a foot of linguine) baby was fine. I moved them (we have five!) to my bee garden and have seen them since, so I guess the ants did not see them as food or an intruder.
Maybe that is why the mom laid her eggs there? the ants were baby snake food?

Most likely the snake layed her eggs there because it was the right temperature for incubating her eggs. Reptile eggs are not like chicken eggs they don't get turned.... they have to remain still to incubate.

Most definately baby snake food.

Wow thats very interesting about Argentinean ants... So if you go in for the kill you better get the whole hive.... down to the Queen... or she makes a Queen egg which is grown differently than a regular egg and larva.... OH WOW I am soo wrong with this species.... Here is what I found:

I did some reading on Fire ants because just like Killer bees they will be here eventually. BTW we have killer bees now. But Fire ants are attracted to electrical motors like booster pumps... that could be used you your advantage.... somehow.

Quote: Coffee does smell good, I know when I was a kid I loved the smell of my parents coffee brewing.

Good coffee tastes good and tastes like it smells. But straight black coffee takes a while to get used to... A good brew with some creme and a touch of sugar or sweetener and Coffee is heaven.

On our tongue we only taste Sweet Salty Bitter and Sour. The rest is up to our nose. That's why wine tasters will smell the wine first take a teeny sip then pull air in through their mouth to Mix the aroma in with the taste.

You can do the very same with Coffee. Matter of fact thats what coffee buyers do....

Each persons sense of smell is different Otherwise there would only be one roast of coffee oNe flaver of wine or beer.... etc.

I do love a good cup of coffee if I go out to eat and have coffee I do smell it first to make sure it is not old.
