I have been roasting coffee beans since 1986.

I love good coffe but I have never tried roasting my own.

Good morning! How is everything this morning? It's nice weather here in Tennessee and my daughter is hollering at the chickens while I drink coffee with a pair of pullets on my shoulder. Though, if they'd stop pecking my earrings...

I used to think that too but then College changed all of that.

I don't remember when I started drinking coffee but my Air Force days in the sixties certainly increased my coffee drinking.

Good morning, I am having a cup of coffee planning to go outside and open the run and let the chickens forage in the yard and garden.

I use a Keurig to brew my cups of coffee. Although I have a few favorite, commercially produced coffees in K-cups, I also have a couple of those "fill with your own" Coffee K-cup alternates, so I can use ground coffee beans if I wish. Also, if I happen to run out of K-Cups....

I don't like added-flavored coffees - like French Vanilla - unless it's a special occasion ... And I drink my coffee black, no sweetener.

We have 3 Keurigs, one the kitchen, one upstairs in the bathroom and 1at work. The first thing I do in the morning is make 2 cups and take 1 to my wife who is sitting in bed smiling.

I like my coffee hot and black and my tea iced and sweet. My 2 favorite drinks. Of course the sweet iced tea is a Southern thing.

We have one large potless coffee maker and MY espresso machine . And I do grind my own beans but not tried roasting. Yet.

(Anyone notice I have a "feather" in my cap now? )

I just found this thread this morning. I am enjoying it. I love coffee. I started with Lusianne coffee and chicory about 60 years ago.

Thank you for the reminder! I just started roasting a batch for next week.

The easiest and cheapest way to start home roasting is to use a hot air popper. Amazon sells green beans too.

My husband used to do that every morning when we worked together. Now he leaves too early, and lets me sleep. But from the wife perspective, that is Uber-point worthy.

You never know when you may need some accumulated points.
