Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

My friend told me she slipped up, and realized she was out of coffee this morning. When she was on the phone with a neighbor, she remarked on that fact. Her neighbor had a big pot full, and invited her to come over and get some. My friend said she grabbed two cups (one for her, one for her mother) and ran across the cul-de-sac to her neighbor's house. She walked back carefully, so as not to spill it. She thought surely anyone who saw her would think she was crazy!

Just came in from putting the chooks to bed. It was crisp and calm so I decided to grab my cup and lean on the porch rail for a bit. The sun sets more in the south than the west up here this time of year and the last of it was reds and oranges thru the trees over my shoulder. Overhead already hung a bright moon in a clear sky. Not good. Just tells me the weather man was right and its going to be another cold one. The nip in the air, my empty cup,,,, and the yelping of the coyotes in the woods on the far side of our meadow was telling me it was time to go inside for a refill.

A warm safe evening everyone.

The sun has not set here yet. It will soon though; on the West Coast.

There are some little mountains between us and the Pacific. On the other side of those ridges is the Napa Valley. There are no straight roads to get there from Woodland so I do not get there very often.

Are you telling me that the sun isn't supposed to always be South?

It rises in the South, just a touch to the East, and then travels along the Southern mountain tops all day long, then sets in the South, just a touch West, right over the volcano. Yesterday the way the clouds were sitting it made a giant blazing lava ball of sunset beauty right on top of the volcano.
