Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

-working on the first cup of the afternoon. (two down the hatch early this morning!) -taking a break from tree-trimming. -typically galls me to decorate prior to Thanksgiving, but the sweet little aunt is coming in from Arkansas and wants to see "all the decorations". She's a very special lady; quite dear to my heart. One tree down, six more to go....... -more coffee please.

SIX TREES!?!

no. I could not do that. Even if I got them all up- I would never get it all put away.

I have another Olive tree this year (we decided that we would rather invest in our orchard than in a dead tree-It's our new tradition) so the potted trees always go up a few days before Christmas and come down ASAP after.
...Although,,, the trees were so beautiful we did get two of them.... maybe one for the porch.

We probably overdo it, but it has been a family tradition. My parents had been collecting ornaments for years, and when I and my husband got married our first tree was completely decorated. We've picked up a few ornaments here and there over the past 23 years and now have the 10 ft. hodgepodge tree (parents' ornaments and homemade stuff from the kids) in the family room, and six 7.5 ft. trees in various rooms all with different themes. Nuts!! -but fun!

I love the idea of adding new trees to the orchard each year! How cool is that?! -a wonderful thing!
I recall my grandmother bringing in her azalea each year. It was in a huge pot. -thing was absolutely a tree! She hung some festive glass balls from it and dubbed it her Christmas tree. -was very lovely, and a practical use for something that she wanted to preserve over the winter months indoors.
