-afternoon pot o' hazelnut coffee is on to brew! -ready for a mug.......then on to raking leaves and trimming back a few shrubs and vines for the season.
 
Raking leaves??? Oh wait! I remember those!!! They come from those funny trees without needles that some people in town have in their yards. They always look so sad in the snow. They don't dump a load of snow down your neck if you brush against them tho.

Finished putting up the windbreak for the run to keep out the snow coming later tonight and so the chooks don't turn into feather cicles later this week when our highs aren't supposed to break 0. Then went to town to lay in our winter stock of beans for my new French press. Wood is stacked, propane tanks are full and fuel is stored for the generator. Yep. Have all the necessities. All set till the new year :D

Oh &;?$@! :rant
My favorite mug is stuck to the feed bin again :th

My pine is dropping needles like mad as well. -have raked up more pine needles in the last week. -moths love to congregate underneath the pine needles, so the chickens follow behind the rake and gobble up all of 'em. -only good side to raking I reckon.
