Just 9:30 here.

Drinking my coffee!
It is 10:31 here.

O.K. Alaskan ... You're later and your snow is deeper. Some people are sooooo competitive. LOL.I bet your doughnuts are bigger too.
My chickens are huddled under the sheltered part of their run. I left their gate open but I think they may not free range today.
I'm going to cook them up some porridge later to warm their little bellies.

Yes, yes, I am competitive.

I am later, my snow is deeper, and my donuts are more terrible! But, definitely not bigger. :lau

1:30 pm here now and VERY crispy!!! Started out with15o and below zero windchill this morning but the temps are slowly dropping and the winds are picking up. Whoopee.

Checked on my chookies and they are very happy little campers. I have a setup somewhat like Alaskans except I have more clear panel construction. My girls (and guy) can go from their coop into a protected little "breezeway" with a clear roof and sides blocked in with clear tarps and into the little clear panel greenhouse without putting their chickie toes into snow. In there I took most of the floor blocks out so all around the sides they can dust bathe. Over that I left the shelf in place and put hay bales for them to play and sunbathe on. We had just enough Sun today to warm it all up to a toasty 40o. Spoiled chooks.

Now I am toasty warm with my coffee mug, blanket and a huge pot of soup simmering away.

Life indeed is very good.

3goodeggs, Haha, yes please send some to me! ;)

Chickisoup, i envy you your current toasty warm condition.

I am trying to force myself out the door. A raptor was sitting on one of the fence posts by my muscovy flock this morning.

I was free of raptors all summer due to a flock of crows. The crows have sadly moved on, and the raptors are back.

It has warmed up enough outside so there is a cold drizzle of rain helping to form an ice sheet over all of the snow.

I need to expand my duck coop, (so there is a good spot for water) and then lock the ducks inside.

What a pain, I really hate construction in cold nasty weather.

(Grouse, grouse, grump, grump, complain, complain, crows!)
