Here in NJ it's a cookin' and coffee drinkin' kind of day.

Alaskan just couldn't stand living in the largest state so he moved to Alaska.

Someone gave us a T-shirt with a giant outline of Alaska, and a little one of Texas. I think it says "Texas, Alaska's little sister"

So.....we went from very cold, to right at freezing and lots of ice and now we are at pretty cold and lots of snow.

More snow coming...... If I start checking in it is because I have been buried in snow.

Luckily, I do have both a hot fire, lots more wood....and COFFEE!!!

We have fog, lots of fog. It is warm and damp, all traces of last weeks' cold snap and snow is gone and we're back to the glorious grey of winter.
Just took the dogs out for a long walk in the foggy woods. So quiet and a bit spooky. Now off to the pub for brunch and more coffee. (too early for beer yet)

All of the ice has finally melted away. -shoveled the hay out of the run, raked the ground well, and turned the chickens out on the lawn. Surprisingly, weeds are growing like crazy despite being buried under ice for over a week. -chilly breeze and some lovely sunshine. Time for a late afternoon coffee break. Think I'll wander out back and sip a mug outdoors...
