Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Good morning everyone.

I hope you feel better soon Alaskan.
There is a certain grime level that always happens in our house even when everyone helps out. I call it the mom eye. Apparently I am the only one that can see it, and since it is apparently invisible to them it builds up. Then when I am well and can stand on my own two feet, the first thing I have to do is clean.
It is insult to injury. But at least I know they need me for more than comic relief... and food.

Morning all (notice I did not say "good")

Sorry to hear you are sick Alaskan. Hope you feel.a little better this morning . Have the kids make you a big steaming bowl of vole soup!!!! It'll taste just like chicken!!!

So cold this morning my coffee won't stay warm. Went out to check on the chooks and take them some scratch. -35 windchill, actual temp high is supposed to hit -10, whoopee.

I was bundled up so much when I went out I looked like a Charlie Brown cartoon.

I am now firmly planted under a blanket in my recliner. Hubby and dog curled up in the old recliner watching "ultimate survival Alaska" to see what folks do in warmer weather. Cat is curled up on the kitchen table trying to soak up heat from the sunshine (good luck).

Supposedly worse tomorrow so the entire state is closed until Wednesday.
We still have power and fuel. AND COFFEE. All's good.

True, Spring will be officially here in 52 more days but we should not have to wait that long for warmer here I hope. We have wintery mix and snow predicted here tomorrow and Wednesday. The low Wednesday night is predicted to be 18. I know that is not cold in some places but it is mighty frigid here. That snow will be laying on a layer of ice. Thankfully we have plenty of heat and groceries. The grandchildren should have some fun. The 8 year old has never seen snow.

Yep worse through Wednesday. But hold on to your hats...I got a FB post that shows a not good forecast for the next week. GEM (a tool for weather patterns) Shows a large amount of snow for most of midwest/east. 12 to 15 inches! The Farmers Almanac also says this as well. So while I'll believe it when I see it, I shall prepare for another round!

The blizzard is still dumping on us. Good thing is, I don't have to go out into it because I'm sick. ^.^ I get my brother to do if for me. :D
