People go crazy here like that too! They go into "Prepper" mode I guess! Last snow event a couple weeks ago you couldn't get milk eggs or bread for a few days til the supply trucks came back. Really? Funny people don't use that much a week without bad weather? Why do they need 3x more when it's a storm? Any way our temps today are a balmy -4 right now windchill -15 But it is sunny! Could be worse, but then that'swhy I don't live further north.

Mm, I had a nice pumpkin spice latte flavored coffee this morning. Yummy! The only time I use creamer in my coffee is when it's something seasonal and of the right flavor. Just plain cream isn't for me.

Also, news to share, I am so stoked to announce that I will be going on a trip with my friends and other volunteers of Zoi's Animal Rescue, to the state capitol to be at an event there. I think I'm most excited about the 2 hour long ride there with my friends.

Having been a homeschooler my entire life, this is very, very new to me, because I basically never went anywhere without my mom or dad. So being hugely independent like this has been a very big learning process for me, but I think independence comes naturally to me. I rather like it...

So, yes, I am very, very, very, undeniably excited for February 4th! Thanks for listening!

Truly..... No snow. Still have some ice sheets.

Homer often has a warm icy, and bit melty period around Christmas..........but this is ridiculous! It looks like spring, but I don't have a fleet of seedlings lined up......

About this time we are usually packing on the snow, building up to many feet of the stuff in Feb and March.

Of course, we had a record breaking snow year last year (or was that the year before????) so I am still a bit PTSD over snow fall. Maybe we used up all of the snow? Maybe this is spring? Maybe it needs a full year to recharge?

We are now in the 40s.

In the summer we run mostly in the 40s and 50s, and any days over 60 are termed "summer days". Last year we had more than two weeks! :D
 
I home schooled my boy until High school. We were always so busy doing things with other home schoolers that it never really occurred to me that when he started high school he was ready for his own Independence.
