When spring sees the negative temps scheduled for tonight, it will turn tail and retreat to Fla. along with the snowbirds.

I'm picking up 4 Silkies next Monday and have my order for 15 coming the week of the 25th and then another 10 the first week of May!

(I have 5 want to end up with about 16-18 + Silkies.

Original goal was 12-14 total.!)

I am so tempted to post "see, I told you so" before-and-after pictures. Hubby and I have a standing joke about our last frost date being "just after the tulip trees bloom." It looks like it might be just a touch early this year. There's a big tulip tree that I pass coming and going from the horse farm; it wasn't too badly damaged by the ice storm a couple of weeks ago. This morning I noticed a few of the big pink buds on it had opened; it would likely be in full bloom by the weekend. With a forecast of freezing rain and a low of 25o tonight, I expect the flowers will be limp brown rags tomorrow.

We made it fine and are not going back to our normal dry weather.

There was a funnel cloud that touched down about a mile from my house on Friday It was a very weak Tornado so it did no damage. It hit an empty rice field and move about 150 feet.
