MORNING EVERYONE!!!

Well, the snow is finally over and the sun is out. The ice before the snow got so heavy it nearly collapsed the roof on the greenhouse but we cleared it in time. Just have to put the panel back in on one of the lift vents today.
Now, like Alaskan, I must try to get ahead of "break up". +8o F right now but supposed to get above freezing for the next week so with the almost a foot of fresh, heavy snow and a 1/2" of ice between that and the foot or so we still had on the ground, we have to try and move alot of snow FAST before the whole place turns into a huge lake!

All this melt has no place to go because the frost is still in the ground at record depths. Right now, no kidding, there is a story on tv about the effects of global warming. Yeah, right people. We have broken every cold, snow, etc. since they started keeping records this year and now they are warning about below normal temps for this summer. Send US some of that Global Warming will ya????

Eggs! My babies laid their very first eggs! On my birthday! In the pouring rain! And now it is a blizzard... but look at my very first eggs! Does this mean I can get more baby chicks? Thank you Sour!

Yay for first eggs!!!! Take pictures (I didn't take pictures of my first eggs and I wish I had, well, I got a pic of Snoodle's first egg). Anyway, take pics!!!

Alaskan' I feel your pain. I was stationed in Anchirage for three years so Iam very familiar with break-up

Forgive my terrible spelling, I am working on a tablet and correction is a pain. No forgiveness necessary; I spell worse without it than it re-spells for me.

Okay, the perfect work-around for 1) lack of incubator space and 2) keeping hubby from knowing about eggs/chicks is letting the local extension/4h club use their incubator and hatch some eggs for "educational" purposes and then ( darn it) there aren't enough kids to take the chicks home and you just "had to" take them yourself! Hehehe. ( hatch date is Tuesday). Gotta remember this; 4H is big here. Here's hoping for Tuesday for you!!!

We're practically hatching-a-long; I'm expecting on Wednesday.

Candle and lockdown tomorrow night.

I think I am going to like this thread. I just hope I can keep up.
