X2 on this one! It's a pain but it eliminates so many problems down the road!
Thanks!

I will make sure she does her PT for sure.

The Mallards found our fan on the chicken yard and took over. I thought they were planning to sleep in front of it last night. They enjoyed spreading their wings and playing in the breeze. Most of the flock eventually gathered around the fan. We have had the fan out there for weeks and they just discovered it yesterday. We enjoy sitting and watching chicken TV. The fan not only keeps us cool it keeps the bugs off.

Welcome! This thread does have its very busy moments. Are you a coffee drinker?

Coffee by the coy pond for me this morning. Feed the llamas, chickens, and chicks then off to do some back to school shopping.

Ugh! Back-to-school shopping....

Coffee under a blanket this morning and then I have to get busy. I have a box of plums that need to be jarred, a chicken shed that's due for its Saturday cleaning, weeds that need to be pulled, and a house that needs cleaning. Worn out thinking about it so I see a second cup in my future!

I feel ya on getting worn out just thinking about all that needs to be done today.

Enjoy your second cup!!!

Where is the panicked and running in circles smilie?

I have an entire room to finish reorganizing and cleaning, outside painting, the planning and setting up of a stealth coop, buying and then chopping of many cords of wood, planning for, organizing for, and buy all the stuff needed for a new school year....

I am now not just behind.... I am late!

Oh....I did get my coffee!

Glad you got your coffee!!!
I have to do a lot of planning, reorganizing, setting up, and building too. No painting here, no one cares whether things are pretty or not...

Hi Puddin Fluff, I am an avid coffee drinker I cannot function with out my morning coffee. lol You have llamas? How fun they are so beautiful.
I drink my coffee on the front porch so I can see my chickens and hear the roosters crow. We are going to try to finish some pens we have been putting off getting done but I only have two more weeks to get them done. So we need to get at it!

Have fun school shopping. I miss that now that all mine are grown.

I've got to find a special place to sit outside and drink my coffee.

We don't have a front porch to speak of, the back porch and everything in the chicken coop has or has had chicken poop on it (one of the hazards of free ranging), one of my minions messed up (lost half of) the webbing of my lawn chair, and (before I had a chance to replace the webbing) DH broke the chair (it's usable, but not comfortable)....Anyway, I'm looking for a place to hide while I'm drinking my coffee, preferably where I can enjoy my chickens...

I wouldn't say I'll be glad when mine are grown, but I can't see myself missing getting ready for back-to-school.

Our neighbor has dreams of therapy alpacas. Those would be cool too.
Therapy, that's an excuse I haven't tried on DH.....What about therapy goats??? They're dual-purpose, therapy and milk.

I am back from Costco with a new bottle of Baileys Irish cream. I will make some espresso soon and add some Baileys to it!

Send me a cup of that, please?

I used to go into a panic with home schooling. Am keeping up?, is this a curriculum he will engage in? Is it too expensive?, can I use it with the items that have been handed down to me?... pant-pant gasp- gasp. I do not miss making lessons plans.
Because I only had one kid, all of that work got used only once then I passed it over to the neighbor girls. (Not sure if they appreciated it as much as their mom.)

Mine gets used at least three times, sometimes four, and my youngest is so much younger than my oldest that....I might be able to pass some of it on to my grandkids (if my kids have kids before the info is obsolete)....

Coffee is my excuse for talking too much this morning.....

It is cold and fall and blustery today, I SAW RED FALL LEAVES!!!!!

I need a steaming hot cup of coffee, my fluffy feather blanket, and a week in bed.

The bare bones of the school room have been reassembled....now to start going through mountains of stuff.

Fall???

We're in the Dog Days of Summer here!!! Although, I think we've seen the last of the 100* mark this year and the sun is definitely coming up later than it was.
We don't have a school room, exactly; we don't have enough rooms in the house to dedicate a whole room to school (although we have enough school stuff and goings on to dedicate half the house to school stuff). Anyway, I have mountains of stuff to go through too, so I will

with you (and try to make my minions do as much of it as I can)

Yes! The bottle is so big it takes a year to use it all.
The Espresso was very good!

I will be off to UCD Med center soon. My DW broke her wrist in two places and is having an operation on it in the morning or on Monday. She had an accident on a motor cycle fund raiser today.

I am sneaking in some pork chops, rice and Texas Sheet Cake!

Hope your wife makes a speedy recovery!!!
So nice of you to sneak in good food for her! =) My DH brought me and our youngest Chic-fil-A when he was in the ER all day with hives and fever (weird, conflicting symptoms and never figured it out). That was the best way to feed all zillion of us and we hardly ever eat out, so it was nice not to have the dishes on top of all we'd been through that day.

ah! The reason I have a school room, is because I force ALL of the children to sleep in only one room. The room is almost wall to wall beds, and one floor to ceiling set of drawers for clothes.

When Spook fell off a ladder last year, he broke the fall with his face. Not quite sure what kind of dominance that shows.

My dad broke a fall with his face a while back. Busted his eye socket and had to have surgery.

I am not sure what that says about their dominance either. :-0

 Kinda silly of them both. But maybe it means they are very intelligent, and their brains are most important????

Yeah, but I have more than one gender of minions, so I'm stuck using two separate rooms for sleeping. Otherwise, I would do the wall to wall beds and floor to ceiling drawers too. Definitely need to economize on space.
