I could use some of that F4 tape!!!!!![]()
In the airplane business we have an aluminum tape that we call speed tape or F4 tape, for the F4 fighter jet. That stuff sticks to any thing. You can do body and fender repairs with that.
I have had 2 batches raised with chicks and they hang together until they are grown and sometimes
longer. The ducks will get in the pond but when they get out they stay with the chickens. Last year we had 3 ducks and 11 chicks. This year we had 3 chicks and 4 ducks. The ones in the picture are 26 weeks old. The Drake is just getting his green head amd the white stripe around his neck. We had the cutest Black Rosecombed Bamtam last year. He still seems to think he is a duck. I wondered how the Drake would handle the roosters. As young as he is he keeps the dominate Australorp Rooster on the run. He runs behind the rooster and nips him and keeps him on the run.
Quote: Marbles, pebbles, something similar in the water bowl. Use a low bowl, and just fill it so that they can drink from between the rocks.
I just used a regular 1 gallon waterer until they are out of the brooder. The little ones get the oil to waterproof their feathers from their mother so they can't swim until they can produce their own oil.How do you set up water in the brooder so the ducklings can get their faces wet but prevent the chickies from gettinh in and drowning?
