Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Ok Tarp is in place and baby chick looks healthy and active today. I dragged some lumber over and reinforced the edges of the chicken tractor - thanks Alaskan!

McDonalds is going to sell a line of coffee beans in stores....Oh My!

I tried a McDonalds Mcaffee one time and nearly gagged on the "powder" taste in it.

Achhhhhh! Help! Chicken newbie here - my broody hatched that one borrowed egg and day two some other chicken attacked it and pulled out some feathers and cut the skin! I grabbed it and mom and did some first aid with horse antibiotic and she looks much better today (day three). So I still lock them all in the coop at night together and then every morning I move mom and baby to the chicken tractor but what if it rains? And how long do I keep them separate from the mean girls?

Sorry to hear about the attack!
Yeah, what @Alaskan said, tarp, shower curtain, plywood, tupperware or lid, etc. anything. Stick it on or under the porch. in a shed, if the tractor will fit inside the coop...?

I'll have to celebrate tomorrow. =( But celebrate I will!!!!! =D

Indigo snakes are also king snakes. They are quite endangered.

Happy National Coffee Day to you too!!!
(glad the chick is good)

I just finished my cup here in East Palatka, Putnam co Fl.
I used 1" chicken wire on my run can't tell you how it will work because I don't have any chickens yet but I do have hawks and owls which keep checking out my coop just waiting for the chickens to come.
I think they would be hard pressed to get through that wire but I'll see what happens when I get some birds. LoL

Welcome to the thread. We used chicken wire on top of our run as well and so far it has been fine.
