Barbie coop! Love it!

It is the best way to have them!

Mah silkies make meh happeh!

But really, they have good crests(at least the white and the grey) but not very good beards. Chimney, Sooty, and Dandy are their names. :D
Silkies are very cute and they mesmerized me. I hatched some and they made great pets for a family up North of me.

I went out to feed them and one of them would somehow make it onto my hand. Suddenly 15 minutes had gone by without me even noticing it...

Post pictures!

Tomorrow I will after school, and that's when they're most up and out anyways. I just hope I can keep them warm this winter, though it doesn't usually get very cold here in Texas. Little puff boogers are so darn cute, too bad I can't have anymore for now.

Thanks.
Thank you
And thank you.

They are good birds, just too much testastarone around. Gotta get rid of some.

I feel you there, I have 2 too many roosters(barred rocks) and as cuddly as they are to me, they're just too much for all my other little youngsters. They've already pretty much pecked one of my rocks to death(he was sick though anyways) I don't need any more pecking duels.

@ronott1 Got any pics of the "barbie house?" I was thinking of adding some extra space inside the coop for Lucie and Ethel for them to stay a little warmer since its only the two of them and they insist on sleeping on the floor. they kick out most of the straw too! Maybe lay some insulation and a board type setup so they are at least not sitting on the cement floor.

I hope you were able to somehow get that man the correct info for the sake of his chickens. I know, FB can be the worst for passing on misinformation! I tried once to VERY NICELY correct one of the very well known "natural" chicken bloggers on an important issue dealing with chicken health/worming, even linking to veterinary study papers, and SHE blocked me!!! Even sent me a PM going on about how could I turn on her,,,,, blah blah blah and this woman was a former lawyer! Many people never realize these bloggers are running a business and get paid for their "expertise" by companies to push their products and most, like this one, have zero education/background in anything other than they own chickens (maybe).
