Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I am hoping to post pics later this week after I get the finishing touches done. Today is raining and I have to go to work about the time it should be done so no outside work today. But I can plan and sketch indoors! I want to revise the roosts so I can put a poop board underneath. Right now I have 4 roosts 16 inches apart about 6 foot each. That makes the space about 5 x 6 and very hard to reach the corner . The only place to rearrange is in front of a window . I think if I redo the windowit could work. Right now it opens in and the hardwarecloth is on the outside. If I put it so it opens out and put the hardware cloth on the inside I can add a polycarbonate sheet inside to help deflect any draft for winter. I hope that will work. Does anybody else have roosts in front of a window? The window is about 3x3? And on the east side so it lets the morning sun in. And is good for breeze and ventilation in the summer. In the winter it's usually closed. And the south windows are open along with a small west window if needed or if there is not a storm or is not too windy.

I have a similar problem, I have ended up keeping the large window, that is RIGHT AT roost level, just open a fist width at all times. I think the idea of putting a sheet of plastic on the inside, maybe spaced an inch from the hardware cloth, would work. Make it easily removable for cleaning and summer.

I have used a strip of white grow cloth and stappled that over openings that needed the wind slowed down a bit.

I was vertical!!! I used my walker all the way across the kitchen to my recliner!!! Ok, so in our tiny house it was probably only 20 ft. but I still did it. Onward and upward!!! Wow, seriously, the things you take for granted until you can't do them. I had been getting serious about the exercises (ouch) and my body was letting me know that we can do this! :yiipchick I just might reach my goal of walking with a cane by Thanksgiving after all :D I fully understand, now better than ever, that what I'm dealing with is a small thing compared to what some folks are suffering with, and with the ankle anyway (except for now being able to forecast the weather) this is a temporary thing no matter how much it seems like forever. I've always "thought" I understood what folks with physical disabilities were dealing with but now I have a much greater empathy for those who struggle to cope in a "vertical" world. Every time I learn a lesson like this it's never long before I get the opportunity to put it to good use. :)
I am glad to hear you are doing better recovery is sometimes a long road and remember every journey no mater how long starts with a single step. I hope that I never get to the point where I need a cane because the good use I'd be putting it to would be to Wack a lot of people Over the head with it mainly politicians. LoL

I thought if I hinge the window at the top outside like an awning and use the plastic poly inside like you said about an inch away would be good. I even thought of putting the plastic poly in 2 pieces and hinge on sides like shutters so I could leave in summer and just open when needed.

I think it will work....sounds good. :D

My wife won't let me carry a gun so she probably won't trust me with a cane either,

Thanks! Now all ito do is to "make it so". It will probably take many cups of coffee to accomplish correctly.

Or use more in the coffee maker than is "recommended" I know for a fact that you can double the ground in a drip maker..... Play with it. I have also been known to throw a bit of Cinnamon in the brewing part... Makes it taste sort of like Mexican hot chocolate without the chocolate.... LOL... But Cinnamon is a good flavor pair for coffee...
