I am hoping to post pics later this week after I get the finishing touches done. Today is raining and I have to go to work about the time it should be done so no outside work today. But I can plan and sketch indoors! I want to revise the roosts so I can put a poop board underneath. Right now I have 4 roosts 16 inches apart about 6 foot each. That makes the space about 5 x 6 and very hard to reach the corner . The only place to rearrange is in front of a window . I think if I redo the windowit could work. Right now it opens in and the hardwarecloth is on the outside. If I put it so it opens out and put the hardware cloth on the inside I can add a polycarbonate sheet inside to help deflect any draft for winter. I hope that will work. Does anybody else have roosts in front of a window? The window is about 3x3? And on the east side so it lets the morning sun in. And is good for breeze and ventilation in the summer. In the winter it's usually closed. And the south windows are open along with a small west window if needed or if there is not a storm or is not too windy.
I have a similar problem, I have ended up keeping the large window, that is RIGHT AT roost level, just open a fist width at all times.

I have used a strip of white grow cloth and stappled that over openings that needed the wind slowed down a bit.
