Almost all of our gum is made with xylitol around here, so dentists recommend using it. And yes, some people notice some laxative effects with it, but usually that requires a pretty large amount.
 
Pumpkin - yes you can eat more because you'll be eating your veggies that way. And Pecans are a good source of protein!

Xylitol, for me it;s more like Y-at-all. I guess some of are are just very sensitive folks,

It's getting hard to find just regular gum at the check out. I will usually pick some up in the candy aisle in bulk packaging. Last me along time. I don't usually chew much gum anymore. It also has a way of acting like super glue and pulling out fillings.
