Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

@chickisoup
I haven't seen that one before. Check out the one I made on my member page it's fairly inexpensive and can be set on a tin heater for extra heat during the frigid temps in your area. Here's a link.

Thanks CW! That looks kewl! Hmmm, have to show that to DH.
He's been looking for something to tinker with since this weather has him grounded and he's finished all his own indoor projects.
So much so that he's beginning to cross over into the "Danger Zone" and eye up some of mine!

My son has to sign up for next smester by the elventh.... at least I hope he does. Hes has been thinking about taking a break.

deb

Our next semester starts next Monday. I hope he does well. Taking a break might be what's best for him. We're not sure whether we're going to end up using our degrees, but we're finishing what we started.

I need some more chicks.
but, that is the same as saying I need more more work to do.
so, I don't need any more chicks.
Maybe I would just like some. Wanting and needing are often times confused in my brain.

Perchie- if a break does not throw his schedule for a loopdaloop, He probably knows what he needs.
I mean, he is studying the stuff that makes people's brains melt.

However, when you get to that level and that specific area of study, some things are only offered certain years & certain semesters, and it might take two more years to get back on track.

Same here (about the chicks). lol We are getting more, b/c we need more eggs (regardless of that means more chicks and therefore more work).

x2 Hey Tea Chick!

Great news Chickisoup!

Perchie As a parent of 5 I know a lot of times all I could do is pray they make the right decisions. And your son will. :)

Hi! =)

To all:
I have to have a dentist appt tomorrow and I'm probably going to have a tooth pulled. Then I have an eye dr appt on the first day of spring semester. We were trying to get all that stuff done before spring semester started, but winter break kind of got away from us; we were so busy.

Take care!!!

@TeaChick , sorry about the tooth!
Bummer.
I need an eye exam as well. I have been putting that off for so many years I keep forgetting that there are more reasons to get an eye exam besides squinting at small print.

Good luck with the next semester!

My husband is teaching an agriculture course at our community college this semester.
I hope he enjoys it. And I hope the students do too. He has a great sense of humor, so maybe that will help.
Oh, evil thought. So I sneak in and heckle from the back. eh?
He only has 7 students, so he might figure it out quickly.

I miss those drugs! They were great for animal wounds.
I have gotten plain sulfur and mixed it with Vaseline for things... but... I'd rather have a jar with a label.
Some of us can not afford to pay vet bill every week.
So we do what we can.

Does the sulphur burn the wounds. We used sulphur as an antifungal on peanut crops. Just the dust blowing on us burned our eyes really bad.

Happy New Year, everybody!

Start as you mean to go on, right? I spent half the day in bed, then got up and worked on building my new coop. Got the legs and base all done.

Then moved the small temporary coop and chicks off of the back porch and down to the run site. (Then scrubbbbbed the back porch.)

After that I went over toy mother's and had a very Southern New Year's meal. That's black eyed peas, collard greens, corn bread, and deviled eggs, with a glass of Coke.

Hopefully now my 2015 will be half lazy, half industrious, and full of good meals with my family.

Welcome to BYC from another Georgian. That was a good New Years meal mine was cabbage instead of collards. I am from Byron just South of Macon.
