I even like day old coffee! I enjoy strong coffee and even drink it at night and have no problems going to sleep either. I got a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas so now I Have backup either way.

Sunflower Do you know anything about sexing chicks by their feathers. This little white chick has a tail feather and long wing feathers. I think it means it's a girl. Do you know. These chicks have the long feathers. Hard to stretch out the wing with one hand but the black one has long wing feathers. Anyone have any input.

Girl or boy? Anyone got guesses. this chick is 3 days old.Not great pictures. It's wing feathers are long.


The picture is blurry but you can see it's getting a tail feather. It also has long wing feathers. I hope it means girl.

Hi everyone and thanks for the caffeine fueled welcome. I'm at about 3 cups a day. Then I switch to sweet tea. Doc won't allow any carbonated beverages. Never said nothin' 'bout caffeine!

i just sold my Swedish Flower Hen flock to a lovely family. I have yard birds now. I live just north of Tulsa Oklahoma in Collinsville. I am a librarian and like reading, sewing, quilting, knitting, chickens and warm hugs. See what I did there? I'm also Nana to two precious grandchildren. Fill their pockets with Skittles and send them home!

Well, I have one SFH,she was too ornery to catch. One rooster I picked up at the animal shelter. I'll have to post pic, have no idea what he is. 2 crosses that lay olive eggs and 2 that lay blue eggs and two that, well they are just hens as far as I can tell.

I have the promise of 14 ee/oe fertile eggs this weekend so I've got hatching too look forward too. Hatching is great fun until you have to keep them inside because it's too cold. Haha Ha .
