It's still snowing to beat the band. Shoveled the deck, porch, and walkways this AM. Neighbor just showed up to plow the driveway - time for a second shot at deck, porch, and walkways - won't address the drive until this junk stops falling from the sky. It's Alaskan's fault!

I need a head shaking emoticon for you ppl and your attitudes toward Lent.
I say that if someone is doing something for God, then do it right (with a heart for God) or don't bother.
Whatever a person does, I think they should do it well and do it right regardless of who it's for or why they're doing it.

I agree... but I think that Lent, though it can have the "giving stuff up" for lent part ...

I think Lent is supposed to be a time when we specifically try to be more Christian, and closer to God.

Which translates to more praying, more charitable works, more religious reading, and more fasting.



but yeah... we are all at a different spot on our journey.
