Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I dont even know what they are.

We have one of them. My Grand daughter helped me put eggs in the incubator. I kind of set them and let them go. I candle them once, when I move them from the incubator to the hatcher. I just check the temp, add water until 3 days before a batch is suppose to hatch. These hatched in my old farm Innovator.

I took the eggs out and there was a dark brown egg. I have not set a dark brown egg this year. I am guessing someone thought Grandpa needed one more egg in there. It hatched first with a huge chick. We called him/her Lucky, because he/she was suppose to be cake, fried or scrambled 3 weeks ago. He has become a favorite of ours...

Below are her/his baby pictures.

Alaskan grats on your hatch. How many did you hatch so far?

Bought a new progammable crock pot.... Hamilton Beach.

I havent had good success with the Rival so I retired it.

This one has a probe. Will switch to warm once the temp setting is reach and will shut off completely after 14 hours.
bought a crappy cook book.... knew better Oh well. went with myh own recipe

Pork Potatoes carrots... seared the pork first. Salt pepper garlic and dredged it in flour then seared it for color and put it in.
Probably put too much salt but it Was three pounds of pork... Short ribs no bones jsut strips of tough meat...

at least the house smells good.... I have no idea how long it will take to cook...

I recently purchased a cuisinart 4pt crock pot. It works great! It does not have a probe but it has a simmer setting!

It will likely take 3 or 4 hours on high, 7 or 8 on low.

Let me know how I did!

I have a turkey in the freezer that is going to be my next run.... I am sooo tired of ruining good meat in a crock pot....

I read that the old low is now the new simmer. The old recipes have to be adjusted for time because of the change.

I also think that the rival crock pot cooks too hot.

The temperature probe is a very good idea!

I have no idea how I do this.... Tastes Great Meat is cooked..... Veggies who were on the bottom are RAW.

I put it back on manual without a temp propbe and set it to warm. For another four hours.

The meat is still tough but veryvery flavorfu8l... So I cooked it too hot
